Hope this helps someone?

As your probably aware if you have an amp/AV receiver with 2 HDMI outputs, both outputs always output at the same resolution so if it's 1080p both output 1080p, 4K both out at 4K and so on, you can't have one 4K and one 1080p.

Dreamscreen is a ambient lighting system for the back of your TV that matches the colours displayed on your TV screen /display! But it only accepts 1080p signal so it won't work with 4K ( until now ).....

If you plug dreamscreen direct into output 1 or 2 of amp / receiver the amp will automatically downscale both outputs to 1080p so no 4K.

So now with linker i plug HDMI output 1 from amp straight to TV and HDMI output 2 from amp straight into linker and then dreamscreen into output of linker.

The amp NOW sends 4K resolution from both outputs and because the linker does the downscaling to 1080p the lights work and TVs display stays at 4K resolution HURRAY!!!
Linker is a great little device..

I would think the linker would work with other ambient light setups if they need a 1080p signal to work.

The only output I haven't been able to get working YET with the Linker and dreamscreen is 4K HDR. I'm working on that? Any help appreciated.

Just use quick preset or make sure the downscale color depth is set to 8b. as may be your ambient light solution does not support more than basic 1080p60 4:4:4 8b, so if you use default settings that follow input, then you might end up with no picture.

Easy rule/setup to support ambient light gear (we do have feedback from most of them already)

1. Run latest Firmware (The below apply since FW0.11)
2. HOLD RST + CLICK INP x4 times. (or set basic preset to 1080p from GUI)
3. if that's not enough, set colordepth 8b in advanced settings for downscale mode from GUI. (or HOLD RST + click INP 8 times)

And you are ready to go forever. we will add more mode and more routines shortly, so stay tuned.

the quickpreset order. This is activated by holding RESET and clicking INPUT. Now the clicks are:

1. Normal operation, clear all 4k30/4k60 presets, clear all deepcoor/colorspace to defaults.
2. Set 4k30/4k60 presets for a 4k60 420 300MHz TV [4k30 8/10/12 -> 4k30 8, 4k60 600 -> 4k60 420 300]
3. Set 4k30/4k60 presets for a 4k30 8-bit 300MHz TV [4k30 8/10/12 -> 4k30 8, 4k60 all-> 1080p60 444 8/10/12]
4. Set 4k30/4k60 presets for a 1080p60 TV [4k30 8/10/12 -> 1080p30 8/10/12, 4k60 all-> 1080p60 444 8/10/12]
(5-9 are unchanged from before)
5 - CS follow / DC follow
6 - CS 4:4:4 / DC follow
7 - CS 4:2:0 / DC follow
8 - CS 4:4:4 / DC 8 bit
9 - CS 4:2:0 / DC 8-bit

Hi again
Thanks for trying to help but I've tried all your suggestions ( updated firmware to version 12 etc ) but they don't work?
Only thing that seems to work is if I turn the deep colour off on my 4K blu ray player the HDR works and so do the lights? But unfortunately the picture is obviously better with deep colour turned on.

AmbiVision 4K
is a new approach to entertainment that creates an astonishing viewing atmosphere. It's the first HDMI pass-through ambient lighting device for up to Ultra HD resolution to your TV or monitor. This technology enlarges the screen to the entire room by projecting a glow of light from all four sides of the back of the screen onto the surrounding wall. It's especially great for enhancing a 3D experience. AmbiVision supports all screen sizes up to 120 inches diagonally and captures the screen from all HDMI devices.

It is an affordable (from only $129 for new customers) piece of advanced technology that supports up to Ultra High Definition (3840 × 2160) resolution.

AI system makes the product outstanding:
- The device analyzes video content and adjusts capturing properties automatically; for example, games require fast changes and are more dynamic, so AmbiVision 4K boosts speed and increases colors. Dramas have statistically less fast changes than games, thus AmbiVision 4K adds more smoothing and increases minimum luminosity level to be more relaxed,
- Recognizes black bars in horizontal and vertical positions and automatically adjust capturing areas,
- Wall-adaptive feature, so the color of the light is perfectly aligned with the screen picture, regardless of the wall color,
- Drastically reduces eyestrain,
- No need to set up the controller (of course, you can manually adjust some features if you really want); even the LED numbers are automatically calculated,
- Control remotely by your remote control (HDMI CEC or infrared technology)
Installation for the AmbiVision 4K is simple and takes only 6-8 minutes depending on your screen size.

Prices of the product are even 40% lower than the future retail prices.
