I have an HDFury2 which has worked well over the past few years. I just rewired my entire living room (the wife wanted it turned 180 degrees) and instead of a short HDMI cable and a long component run I now have a long HDMI cable running through the wall. The cable is a 20' Rocketfish HDMI cable, and the HDFury2 is now plugged directly into the TV. The power supply is in use. I have found with this arrangement that the unit is not working... the TV freaks out and can only sync up around 20-30% of the time. My guess is that the HDMI signal is degraded over the longer run. Would an HDMI repeater help with this issue? Should I upgrade to the HDFury3? Anything else I can try? Thanks!

Are you committed to that rocket fish cable? From what I have seen of Rocketfish cables they didn't impress much.

You might try getting a BJC Belden Series-1 Bonded-Pair HDMI Cable from bluejeanscable

Bluejeans sells great cables for reasonable prices.

Well, it is in the wall now... any change would require repulling the cables, which is never fun.

Then go for an equalized HDMI switch to amplify the signal.
