|
|
Alright, I finally fixed my last issue so here are the new problems:
1- I can get the hd fury to output 1080p resolution from my computer, but it appears that the outer edges of the screen are cut over (the fury is outputting an image a little too big?)
2-I can set the resolution to 1080p, 16 bit color, and 60 hz refresh rate, but if i bump it up to 32 bit color, then the video card forces my refresh rate down to 24 hz. Is this a limitation of the computer, the hd fury 2, or the nvidia ion management program i'm using (please note that i have to use this program and "tv outputs" and not the windows display resolutions which give me NO SIGNAL output on the fury.
Setup specs: dell w2410 monitor (for testing, will eventually be moved to a component input switch), acer revo 3700, hd fury 2, video settings controlled by: nvidia ion management program.
Thanks much for any help you can offer! |

The HDFury2 doesn't control the size of the image. That's controlled by the video card.
It sounds like you are having a driver issue maybe.
Do you have the power supply for the HDFury2? |

| Yes I have the power supply, bought the hd fury 2 from curt. Is it possibly a compatibility with driver software with the ION 2 on the revo 3700 version? Do people have no issues on the revo 3610? |

As Jeremy mentioned, the Hdfury does not set the resolution or refresh rate. It takes whatever resolution and refresh rate you feed it via HDMI and converts it to RGBHV or component.
If you have issues setting a certain resolution it's 100% due to the source.

| Alrighty. I switched to an actual hd tv as the output source. That fixed the color profile/refresh rate problem for some reason. It appears that the windows desktop is still overextended past the screen. It seems that this can be mostly adjusted with a custom resolution using the nvidia resolution tool (something to around 1842x1034). Is this something normal for hd fury 2 users, and will it result in video quality degradation? Thanks again for you're replies/help guys |

| Nope that's not an issue. I had to map my RPTV to 1680x something to make the desktop fit. It's the overscan built into the TV's |

heh. actually the custom resolution on nvidia has seemed to work well. ALRIGHT one last question (I hope). Now I've got my acer revo hooked up to my video switch (only input/output is over component; runs to all the flatscreens and the theater in home). The display looks beautiful and fits perfect on all the flatscreens (various models/sizes). However, when on the theater projector, the displayed image is placed down and to the right of the screen.
**Is this something that can be attributed to a projector having different overscan from the televisions, and would there be any way to compensate for this????**
Im thinking i could physically adjust the projector (move the image up and to the left, as the quality seems fine), but then the projector image would be distorted for all my other inputs-blu ray, satellite feed, etc.) Like I said, i'm still pretty new to setting all this up, thanks again!!! |

| Are you sure the adjustment affects all inputs? What projector is it? |
