I would like to limit the HDFury3 to 480p. I understand there are EDIDs available to do this or being developed.

Is there one available that would limit HDFury3 to 450p? If not, any plans to create one and when? Or do I have other options like doing this myself?

Thanks for help! Sorry if this has been asked before.

As far as I know the Fury3 passes through any signal you feed it including 480p or 450p. I wonder, however, what is the point of restricting its video capabilities since the whole purpose of the Fury is to be able to use it as a HDMI>RGB/Component digital to analog converter so one can achieve the best possible HD signal through displays that are capable of an HD picture but limited to component or other non-HDMI connections. If all you want is a 480p/450p, just use component connections and forget about the Fury. To me, it just seems you are defeating the whole purpose of even buying it.

UNLESS the device only has HDMI out.

Correct. It's HDMI to a 7" analog VGA touch screen that is a secondary screen from a HDMI splitter. I downscale it to 480p to make it easier to use the touchscreen. However, sometimes it reverts to 1080i - its been hit and miss. AND I need HDCP support (HTPC) AND I also use the digital TOSLINK.

So it seemed to me tha tthe HDFury3 meet my needs if I only can sort out the current scale issue - I only want 480p. Are ther other better options?

Just a heads up. We have two new EDID guys. Their first challenge is to make a 480P only EDID for your application.

Stay tuned...

Why are you not working on the source instead of the Fury 3 ? You get out what you put in so change the source not the Fury.

How's the 720P only coming? I have an HDfury2 with the older 720P but it supports 480i which I need to remove.

Thanks
