Hi,

I thought I would start a new thread now that I have purchased new hardware and updated all the software in my hardware...

HUMAX HDR-Fox-T2 - Application version: FHTCP-1.01.09
Version Date 11 october 2010

When I connect it to a plasma (LG) which has HDMI inputs there is no problem.
When I connect it to a plasma (Panasonic PW5) which has component inputs I have problems.
The amplifier is a Yamaha RX-V567 with the latest firmware revision E017

When I change channels on the HUMAX box, it is a lottery as to whether or not the Panasonic Plasma will show a picture or the screen reports "No Input"

HUMAX -> HDMI Plasma = NO problems
HUMAX -> Amplifier -> HDMI Plasma = NO problems

HUMAX -> Amplifier -> HDFury -> Component Plasma = Problems.
HUMAX -> HDFury -> Component Plasma = Problems.

I can only summise that the HDFury2 is losing its handshake when I change channels on the HUMAX box.

My HDFury2 is v1.51

What do I need to do to fix the problem?

Thanks
Simon

Let me ask HKMod to have a look at this.

First, do you have the power supply connected?

Second try this. Power off the equipment, power up the HDFury2 then power up the Humax box and see if it will handshake.

Yes I have the power supply connected.
The HDFury handshakes ok on first power up, it is only when I change channels that it loses it's way.

You could try putting a powered HDMI switch between the Humax box and the HDFury2. This may make them play nice together.

I've already tried an amplifier between the two and that did not improve things. I do not intend to spend any more money working around a legacy problem.
With hindsight I should have just put the cost of the HDFury2 towards a new Plasma.
